Kadir Albayrak is a lecturer in the department of german language and literature at Sivas Cumhuriyet University in Turkey. He has completed his Phd degree on heterotopias in the novels of the swiss writer Peter Stamm. In this study, he analyzed the cities, countries and places in Stamm’s novels in the context of Foucault’s concept of heterotopia and different space theories. He has published articles and book chapters on such as subjects heterotopia, space, city, body, history and memory in the works of different contemporary authors. His fields of study include spatial, comparative and intercultural literary theories.
