Ana Isabel Queiroz is PhD in Landscape Architecture and assistant professor at the Department of Geography and Regional Planning at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH).
She is also a fellow researcher in the Institute of Contemporary History, in the same faculty. Environmental Humanities and Landscape history are its main research interests.
In the last years she published several papers about literary landscapes, and how they are useful materials for education, leisure, management and planning.

It particularly focuses on the potential of narrative methods for urban development in European medium-sized cities.
