Dr Angelos Theocharis is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Film, Visual Culture and Media at Durham University and the GCRF UKRI Living Deltas Hub working on the project “Community Digital Storytelling and Delta Futures” that focuses on Indigenous communities in Bangladesh and Vietnam. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh where he studied global migration and its impact on transnational communities and identity construction. He is the author ofMayakovsky in Love (Idyepeia, 2022) and the co-editor of the collective volume River Delta Futures: Endangered Communities in Audiovisual Media(Bloomsbury Academic, Forthcoming)

Writing Urban Places proposes an innovative investigation and implementation of a process for developing human understanding of communities, their society, and their situatedness, by narrative methods. It particularly focuses on the potential of narrative methods for urban development in European medium-sized cities.
