Emine Malkoç True is a professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Ege University, Turkey. She studied Landscape Architecture and holds MA and PhD degrees in Landscape Architecture. She published several articles, conference proceedings and books. Her research focuses on post-occupancy evaluation, urban life quality, age-friendly design, urban identity, visual analysis and environmental psychology for the built environment. She has joined CA 18126 “Writing Urban Place” in order to contribute to the development of scenarios for the (re)interpretation of social and cultural differences and the production of meaningful urban space with a multidisciplinary approach.

Writing Urban Places proposes an innovative investigation and implementation of a process for developing human understanding of communities, their society, and their situatedness, by narrative methods. It particularly focuses on the potential of narrative methods for urban development in European medium-sized cities.
