Luisa Metelo Seixas (Brasília, 1986) is a PhD candidate at NOVA FCSH, Lisbon, focusing on the studying and mapping of collaborative history projects and initiatives in Portugal, specifically within the areas of independent and informal archiving, analysing this movement and its importance for both research and communities. Her interests stand on collaborative research strategies and interdisciplinary approaches related mainly to heritage and public history, where historical narratives play a major role in local and community development. Graduate in Multimedia Arts — Photography (FBAUL, Lisbon, 2009) and Master in Philosophy—Aesthetics (NOVA FCSH, Lisbon, 2012), Seixas has coordinated several projects relating communities, heritage, research and creative practice in close collaboration with other professionals. Since 2015 she is part of the Memory for All team, having coordinated several collection days on different themes, performing a considerable number of interviews and developing strategies of public engagement and involvement.
