Saara Mildeberg is a doctoral student of cultural studies and a junior researcher at the Centre for Landscape and Culture at Tallinn University, Estonia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in photography (Estonian Academy of Arts, 2015) and master’s degree in ethnology (University of Tartu, 2019). Her current research focuses on the relationships between people and landscapes, difficult heritage, and cultural tourism.

Writing Urban Places proposes an innovative investigation and implementation of a process for developing human understanding of communities, their society, and their situatedness, by narrative methods. It particularly focuses on the potential of narrative methods for urban development in European medium-sized cities.
