Fieldwork events 2022

Dear Writing Urban Places network members,

As part of the third grant period of our action, several fieldwork events are scheduled to be organized during the course of 2022. Their aim is to further contribute to our challenging journey of connecting narratives, people and places. The intention of fieldwork events is to transfer already accumulated knowledge of theories and methods assembled as a reflection within the specific field of architecture, urbanism, literary studies and social sciences by taking actions related to tangible places, that could be classified as mid-size cities.

After a number of presentations that took place at the mid-term conference in Porto and further elaboration of the submitted proposals, we are happy to inform you that four cities were listed for hosting an event this year. The first two events that would open this initiative will take place in Osijek (Croatia) and Tampere (Finland), but it is also expected to have events in Canakkale (Turkey) and Skopje (N. Macedonia) in the second half of 2022. Below, you can find general info about the planned fieldwork events. Please feel free to contact persons responsible for hosting these events if the general topic provokes your interest to contribute to organize them (more info about each of the proposals, you can find on the writing urban places YouTube channel.
